NY Bilingual Account Supervisor 

ROX United is seeking a highly proactive and energetic Account Supervisor who is experienced in managing complex communications campaigns, including implementing multiple projects with tight deadlines with a keen attention to the budget.  The Account Supervisor will be responsible for strengthening the visibility of several lifestyle brands by developing and delivering timely strategic communications in a variety of forms: print, broadcast, online, and social media.


Position Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in public relations, marketing or related fields.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in executing beauty and lifestyle public relations campaigns.

  • Ability to work in a fast‐paced, demanding and collaborative environment both independently and as a member of a team.

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills to ensure all materials meet the highest standard of quality and consistency according to the appropriate writing styles.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strategic approach to account management including a high-level of attention to detail and the highest degree of professionalism and follow-through.

  • High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels.

  • Ability to lead and identify local new business opportunities by networking, attending meetings and drafting proposals.

  • Resourcefulness in identifying most cost-effective partner vendors to achieve client objectives and ability to track financial spend.

  • Independent thinker, with strong critical reasoning skills and a solution-oriented mindset with the ability to confidently lead projects and initiatives on behalf of clients.

  • Strong computer skills; proficient or advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Strong media relations experience working with Hispanic national and local outlets in markets including New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Texas.

  • Attuned to the new media landscape and proactive in identifying new target outlets that align with client brands.

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of social media trends and platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Periscope, Vine, and YouTube.

  • Ability to develop good professional relationships to work with staff, community organizations, media partners, celebrities and vendors to execute activations/events.

  • Verbal and written Spanish-language proficiency.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and evaluate annual and project communications campaigns, including effectively allocating staff resources based on the scope of work.

  • Foster and develop new relationships with media and bloggers, including securing stories, managing interviews, and coordinating/staffing media tours.

  • Serve as day-to-day contact for the client, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource and counselor.

  • Provide strategic guidance to the client on an ongoing basis by keeping up with trends, presenting proactive opportunities, anticipating/addressing needs, and responding to concerns as they arise. 

  • Create, implement, and measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns.

  • Develop and closely manage budgets, time reports and account financials.

  • Manage and mentor team members by promptly reviewing work and providing constructive feedback. 

  • Prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; manage a demanding and unpredictable schedule.
