You're a creative, collaborative thinker, buttoned up culturally attuned public relations manager that doesn’t shy away from a challenge.  You have a team-oriented attitude, you’re proactive and have a strong voice to manage and lead projects. You don’t wait for projects to be assigned, but dig into the clients’ business to help elicit success and growth.  You work hard, laugh along the way, you’re proud of the work you deliver…all the while having a passion for celebrity gossip, sports rivalries and uncovering the latest music and art coming from the underground scene (yes, we’ll occasionally overlook you being late for work!).

 

What We Want You To Do

  • Manage and begin to lead the agency’s day-to-day relationship with select clients and internal teams through effective communication, problem solving and facilitating successful initiatives

  • Work with the Account Director to develop client communication strategies and plans; support the team to develop insightful briefs

  • Work with the Account Director on large-scale consumer events; specifically, be the go-to person for on-site logistics (event staffing, media and influencer engagement on-site, run of show)

  • Concept, source and execute grassroots activations

  • Manage media relations’ activities for traditional and digital media; including media list development, sourcing new media outlets and pitching

  • Work cohesively within social media platforms to deliver on-brand messages

  • Lead the sourcing of influencers for client initiatives and effectively negotiate the contracts

  • Effectively write (creative) press releases to capture the interest in key media for pick-up

  • Manage the work and performance of junior team members to have them successfully deliver their goals and enable them to grow within their career

 

What We Want You To Have For Success

  • Strong core competency in public relations: successfully working with internal teams, develop strong partner relationships and be able to develop and execute a wide range of ideas

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present the agency/client’s vision, recommendations and feedback to a range of internal and external teams

  • Desire to be a leader, passionate about involving others to develop unique programs that drive results

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and easily able to switch gears and adapt to an ever-changing workload

  • Digitally savvy with fluency with the latest developments in social and new media

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organized

  • Flexible and able to solve problems

  • Skilled in Cision, CubeYou and HootSuite (or similar social media listening/tracking tools)

  • 5+ years experience in a PR or activation agency

  • Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations)
